Lefkada Folklore Group ‘Agéchoros’ Shines at Preveza Traditional Dance Festival

The Lefkada Folk Association “Agéchoros” performed at the 18th Traditional Dance Festival “Summer and Culture” in the town of Preveza on 3 July 2026. The group represented the island with a program centered on the theme “Bridges of Memory: Dance and Song as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Greece,” receiving enthusiastic applause from attendees.

The two‑day event, organized by the Preveza Cultural Society and the municipal authorities, featured twelve folk groups from across Greece and hundreds of dancers, turning the central square into a hub of cultural activity. Organisers and participants praised the live traditional orchestra and the authentic costumes worn by the Lefkada dancers.
