Lefke Avrupa Üniversitesi receives institutional accreditation

Lefke Avrupa Üniversitesi (LAÜ) has received a six-year institutional accreditation from the Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programmes (AQAS), a Germany-based independent quality assurance and accreditation organization. The accreditation is valid until 2032.

This marks a significant milestone for the university, which was founded in 1990, as it is the first institution in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to achieve institutional accreditation. The process involved an international external evaluation of the university's quality assurance system, focusing on continuous improvement, internationalization, and institutional development.

Enver Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lefke Avrupa Üniversitesi, stated that the achievement is a result of the institution's long-standing efforts and established quality culture. He noted that the goal is to make the university's success sustainable and to carry it into the future with greater strength.
