Lefke European University completes international AQAS accreditation

Lefke European University (LAÜ) has successfully completed a three-year international AQAS quality assurance process. AQAS is a Germany-based international accreditation agency that evaluates university education and management processes according to the standards of the European Higher Education Area.

The accreditation process covers various institutional aspects, including curricula, faculty selection criteria, student learning outcomes, and research opportunities. According to LAÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen, the three-year effort focuses on establishing a management culture where quality is maintained through institutional rules and continuous improvement mechanisms rather than individual discretion.
