Lefkoşa Police Detain Multiple Individuals for Fraud, Disorder and Domestic Threats

Police in Lefkoşa arrested a man identified as S. I (K‑25) for attempting to forge a passport exemption seal, changing the date from 16 August 2024 to 2025, and for residing in the country without permission.

In Gazimağusa, two separate drunken incidents led to arrests: E. D (E‑23) caused a disturbance in a student dormitory, damaging doors, while H. C (E‑42) set a fire by stacking items on a kitchen gas cylinder. Police also detained three people nationwide for illegal residency.

Separately, a court in Lefkoşa heard the case of A. N, who threatened his wife and family over the phone with homicide statements and inflicted serious bodily injury. He was charged with threat, serious assault and harassment, and the judge ordered three days of police custody.
