Tentoglou and Petounias achieve international success

Greek athletes achieved significant success in international competitions. Miltos Tentoglou won the Diamond League long jump title in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a leap of 8.24 meters, marking his 12th career victory in the series.

In gymnastics, Lefteris Petounias secured the bronze medal in the rings final at the European Championships in Zagreb. Petounias earned 14.366 points, narrowly missing the gold and silver, which were shared by Artur Avetisyan and Ilia Zaika with 14.400 points. Despite a small error during his exit, Petounias's performance brought his career total to 11 European Championship medals, including eight golds.

Petounias expressed that while he is happy with the medal, the gold was lost in the details. He is now shifting his focus toward the upcoming World Championships scheduled in two months.
