Leftist Alliance challenges Abdessamad Archan's election in Morocco

The Leftist Alliance has filed a petition with the Constitutional Court in Rabat to annul the election of Abdessamad Archan, a representative for the Social Democratic Movement party in the Tiflet–Rhamani constituency.

The petition, submitted by lawyer Mehdi El Wadi on behalf of Hamza Boullahid, alleges various electoral violations occurring from the pre-campaign period through election day. Key allegations include “deceptive maneuvers” and the “misuse of communal resources,” which the alliance claims compromised the freedom and integrity of the vote.

The Constitutional Court is responsible for reviewing these claims to determine if the documented irregularities were significant enough to warrant the partial or total invalidation of the election results under organic law.
