Lega and Italia del Meridione sign alliance pact in Rome

The Lega Italia Federale Roma Capitale and the Movimento Italia del Meridione have formally signed a federative pact at the Campidoglio in Rome. This programmatic agreement aims to prepare for upcoming elections for the Capitoline Assembly and municipal councils.

Under the terms of the agreement, representatives from Italia del Meridione will run directly on Lega lists for both the Capitoline Assembly and various municipal councils. The alliance is described as a long-term political project rather than a temporary electoral alliance. The pact focuses on five priority areas intended to align Rome with other major European capitals, including municipal federalism, decentralization of powers, housing plans, transportation, and security.

Key figures present at the signing included Lega regional secretary Davide Bordoni, provincial secretary Angelo Valeriani, and Capitoline councilors Maurizio Politi and Fabrizio Santori, alongside Italia del Meridione national president Orlandino Greco and Roman commissioner Serena Nardo.
