Lega calls for transparency over Campania unemployment funds
Lega regional councilors Michela Rostan and Massimo Grimaldi have called for transparency from Campania President Roberto Fico regarding approximately 8 million euros allocated for long-term unemployed individuals in the Naples area.
The demand follows the revocation of state funding for the DILD Napoli project due to reported serious and widespread irregularities. The Lega representatives expressed concern that the new regional allocation might be an attempt to bypass government restrictions rather than a genuine solution to unemployment.
Rostan and Grimaldi emphasized the need for active labor policies, such as professional retraining and business support, rather than what they described as mere welfare measures that fail to provide stable employment opportunities.
