Madonie Park Authority signs agreement with Sicilian geologists

The Madonie Park Authority and the Regional Order of Geologists of Sicily have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance the protection and research of geosites within the Madonie Unesco Global Geopark.

The agreement aims to integrate scientific expertise with territorial management to support risk prevention and the promotion of the area's geological heritage. Following the recent confirmation of the Madonie Unesco Global Geopark in the World Network of Geoparks, the partnership will establish a new Unesco Geopark Commission to serve as a technical reference for future initiatives.
