Lega Nazionale Dilettanti to host youth football conference in Ferrara

The Lega Nazionale Dilettanti (LND) will host the “Il Futuro in gioco” conference in Ferrara on October 23 and 24. The event aims to establish a roadmap for grassroots football by focusing on youth development and strengthening the connection between local amateur clubs and professional leagues.

Part of the “Quarto Tempo” initiative, the conference will bring together regional LND committees, the Interregional Department (Serie D), and national team representatives. It will also facilitate dialogue with Lega Pro leadership and FIGC Club Italia representatives. Using the “Zola Reform” and federal talent development guidelines as a framework, the sessions will focus on creating a strategic exchange between amateur levels and Serie C.

The inaugural session will feature speakers including LND President Giancarlo Abete, Lega Pro President Matteo Marani, FIGC youth technical coordinator Maurizio Viscidi, and Under-21 national team coach Silvio Baldini. Subsequent discussions will address the role of young players in Serie D and Eccellenza championships.
