Legacoop Romagna supports new Italian Framework Law on Culture

Legacoop Romagna and its associated cultural cooperatives have expressed support for the approval of the new Framework Law on Culture. The organization highlights that the law addresses long-standing issues by streamlining procedures and consolidating fifteen existing regulations into a single reference norm, reducing fragmentation for cultural enterprises.

A key feature welcomed by the cooperatives is the establishment of ‘cultural welfare,’ which recognizes the role of the cultural sector in public health and social cohesion. The group also emphasizes the importance of linking urban regeneration with culture, advocating for cultural sites to serve as permanent community hubs rather than mere venues for temporary events.

In light of this legislation, Legacoop Romagna has proposed that the municipalities of Ravenna, Forlì, Cesena, and Rimini collaborate to design a unified Romagnolo cultural offering and shared calendar to bolster future tourism policies.
