Legacy eliminated from Esports World Cup semifinals by Team Spirit

The Brazilian esports organization Legacy has been eliminated from the Esports World Cup 2026 semifinals following a 2-0 defeat against Team Spirit. The match, held in Paris, saw the Russian squad secure victories on Dust2 (13-7) and Ancient (13-9).

This loss follows Legacy’s successful quarterfinal run, where they eliminated Team Falcons with a 2-0 victory on Mirage and Dust2. Despite the semifinal exit, Legacy will compete in the third-place match scheduled for Sunday.

Team Spirit advances to the grand final to face FUT. The winner of the final MD5 series will claim a $600,000 prize. The overall Esports World Cup event featured 32 teams and a record-breaking total prize pool of $75 million across 24 disciplines.
