Counter-Strike 2 Esports World Cup Natus Vincere Legacy CS2 upset

The Brazilian Counter-Strike 2 team Legacy eliminated Natus Vincere (NAVI) from the Esports World Cup 2026 in a Round of 16 best-of-three series on August 20. Legacy secured a 2-0 victory, winning Inferno 13-9 and Ancient 13-2.

NAVI, a highly decorated Ukrainian roster, had previously advanced through the group stage by defeating teams such as Falcons and The MongolZ. Despite the loss, NAVI coach Andrey ‘B1ad3’ Gorodenskiy stated that the team will continue playing through the season to refine their performance and correct errors. The team is scheduled to compete in the BLAST Open Porto and the StarLadder StarSeries Fall through the end of September.
