Legal AI sector sees client pressure on firms and launch of admissions platform

A new Litera report finds that 85% of law firms are feeling direct client pressure to invest in artificial‑intelligence tools, with 51% saying a client has influenced an AI investment in the past year. Respondents cite people, talent and expertise—not technology—as the primary differentiator, while adoption, training and culture are seen as the biggest gaps.

At the same time, Litigator One announced that it will publicly launch an AI‑powered platform in summer 2026 to guide pre‑law students through law‑school admissions and early career planning. The platform, built in Irvine, California, offers personalized workflows, school recommendations, essay drafting tools and career‑timeline assistance, aiming to simplify a fragmented admissions process.

Both developments highlight growing demand for AI solutions across the legal market, from established law firms responding to client expectations to new entrants targeting the education pipeline.
