Legal and economic developments in Brazil

Legal expert Júlia Alexim warns that being a partner in a company involves significant responsibilities beyond merely lending one's name to a social contract. While criminal liability is personal and requires proof of intent or negligence, being listed in a company's articles of incorporation often makes individuals a starting point for investigations. This can lead to civil, tax, and labor consequences. Furthermore, individuals may face fraudulent inclusion in companies through forged signatures, necessitating rapid legal action and reports to commercial registries to declare such inclusions null.

In Mato Grosso, the Sistema Comércio—comprising Fecomércio, Sesc, Senac, and the Institute of Research and Analysis (IPF)—has marked its first 100 days of management with various social and professional initiatives. These include health services such as OdontoSesc and Sesc Saúde Mulher, which provided thousands of procedures in Várzea Grande and Cuiabá. Other efforts include the Sesc Mesa Brasil program to combat food insecurity and the deployment of mobile technology units from Senac.
