Legal assistance initiatives launched in Iquique and Saltillo

In Iquique, Chile, the Corporación de Asistencia Judicial de Tarapacá, Arica y Parinacota, y Antofagasta (CAJTA), in coordination with the Seremi of Justice and Human Rights of Tarapacá, will host a ‘Plaza de Justicia’ at Plaza Prat on September 29. The event, held to commemorate National Access to Justice Day, offers free legal guidance and access to various state services, including the Public Defender's Office, the Civil Registry, and health services.

In Saltillo, Mexico, the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UA de C) is updating its ‘Juris te Orienta’ program. The Faculty of Jurisprudence aims to shift from providing general legal orientation to offering more comprehensive case accompaniment. Led by Director Óscar Nájera Davis, the program utilizes advanced students and faculty to provide free legal advice, with the new approach intended to enhance practical training for students and provide closer follow-up for citizens seeking legal help.
