Legal disputes challenge major real estate and infrastructure projects in Romania
Multiple large-scale development projects in Romania are facing significant legal challenges. In Craiova, a real estate project led by Adrian Mititelu Jr. and Gabriela Mititelu is facing a civil lawsuit from a neighbor contesting land registry entries and building height regulations. Additionally, the project is threatened by potential forced execution proceedings initiated by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) and a private creditor.
In Bacău, the reconstruction of the Municipal Stadium has met with legal opposition. Businessman Dorinel Umbrărescu has filed a complaint against the local council's approval of the Zonal Urbanistic Plan. This follows a separate legal action by Costel Cășuneanu, who sought to suspend the same plan. The stadium project is a key interest for the Pavăl brothers, owners of the Dedeman retail chain and sponsors of FC Bacău.
