Legal & General and LondonMetric top FTSE 100 with highest dividend yields
Legal & General (L&G) posted a dividend yield of about 7.5%, the highest among FTSE 100 constituents. The company plans a 5% dividend increase for FY 2024 and a £200 million share buy‑back, aiming to boost shareholder returns and support income‑focused investors.
LondonMetric Property reported a dividend yield just under 7%, placing it second on the FTSE 100 list. The REIT logged eleven consecutive years of dividend growth, a FY2026 dividend per share rise of 3.8% to 12.45p, and an expanded property portfolio valued at roughly £7.9 billion, though its leverage could be pressured by elevated interest rates.
A separate investment guide proposes a £20,000 Stocks & Shares ISA allocated to five high‑yield UK stocks—including Legal & General, LondonMetric, Aviva, Domino’s Pizza and TBC Bank—projecting about £1,320 of tax‑free annual income, illustrating how these high‑yield FTSE constituents can be used to generate passive cash flow.
