Legal sentencing in Latina road death and blood drive for Judge Livatino

A 28-year-old driver from Latina has received a three-year sentence following a plea bargain for the road homicide of 21-year-old Clarissa Trombin. The fatal accident occurred on March 6, 2022, in Latina Scalo, when the vehicle struck a tree. Investigations by the Highway Police determined the driver was exceeding speed limits and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

As part of the sentence handed down by the Court of Latina, the defendant will perform community service with the Civil Protection unit in Sezze.

In a separate commemorative event, AVIS Modica is organizing a blood donation day on September 21 to honor the memory of Judge Rosario Livatino. Livatino, known as the ‘boy judge’ due to his young age, was assassinated by the mafia in 1990. The initiative is part of the ‘Capaci di Donare’ project, which connects blood donation with anniversaries of significant anti-mafia struggles to encourage civic engagement among younger generations.
