Legaline launches AI-powered virtual courtroom in Dubai

Legaline Platform has launched Meta Legal Space, a virtual courtroom designed to help law students and trainees practice litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Unveiled at the Dubai AI Festival, the platform serves as a mock trial simulator where users can argue cases before an AI judge, clerk, witnesses, and expert testimony.

To simulate realistic conditions, the AI witnesses are programmed with specific backgrounds, temperaments, and varying levels of honesty and composure. Each witness is designed to withhold one key fact that the trainee must extract through cross-examination. The system allows users to select between different legal frameworks, including UAE onshore law, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), or the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

According to Legaline CEO Dmitry Grinik, the platform aims to provide a safe environment for trainees to make mistakes before handling real client cases. The initial library includes disputes involving commercial, civil, and labour law, such as construction defects and unfair dismissal claims.
