Legambiente concludes youth volunteer program in Marche

The “GenerAzione ambiente” volunteer program, organized by Legambiente, has concluded in the Marche region of Italy. The initiative brought together young volunteers aged 14 to 18 from various parts of the country to participate in environmental protection and territory redevelopment activities within the province of Macerata.

Key activities included the maintenance of green spaces and graffiti removal at the Ponte del Diavolo in Tolentino, as well as reorganization efforts at the local Legambiente headquarters. Volunteers also worked along the banks of the Fiastra river and in the dune faunal area of Civitanova Marche, an ecosystem critical for coastal protection and the nesting of local species.

Beyond manual labor, the program provided educational opportunities regarding the region's historical and industrial heritage. Participants visited sites such as the Abbadia di Fiastra and local industrial companies, including Poltrona Frau and Nuova Simonelli, to learn about innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.
