Leganes signs striker Alvaro Morata on loan from Como

Spanish club Leganes has announced the signing of veteran striker Alvaro Morata on a season-long loan from Italian side Como. The deal includes an option for Leganes to make the transfer permanent following the conclusion of the 2026-2027 season.

Morata, 33, will wear the number 21 shirt and is expected to join team training immediately under manager Ruben Alves. The Spanish international brings extensive experience to the Segunda Division side, having played over 660 professional matches and scored 230 goals throughout a career that includes stints at Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid.

His career achievements include two UEFA Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, and two Copa del Rey trophies. Internationally, Morata has represented Spain in 87 matches, contributing to victories in Euro 2024 and the 2023 UEFA Nations League.
