Leganés council names late PSOE spokesperson Javier Márquez honorary councilor

The municipal plenary of Leganés unanimously approved a posthumous honor for the recently deceased former PSOE spokesperson, Francisco Javier Márquez Ortiz. He was designated an honorary councilor and a section of the Central Library Gardens was renamed “Recreación Arqueológica Francisco Javier Márquez Ortiz”.

During the same session, Gregorio Ramírez Cano took possession of his seat as the new socialist councilor, filling the vacancy left by Márquez. The council also observed a minute of silence for former councilor Gregorio Pintor Moreno, who served from 1987 to 1991.
