Leganés theaters report sold-out autumn shows within 24 hours

Theaters in Leganés have reported that most of their scheduled autumn plays sold out within 24 hours of tickets going on sale. This marks the second time such a rapid sell-out has occurred for the local programming.

Mercedes Neria, the Councilor for Culture, stated that the goal is to provide high-quality programming at affordable prices. Many of the plays, which are typically staged in larger Madrid theaters, are being offered in Leganés with prices starting at €6.50, alongside discounts for youth and seniors. Notably, over 65% of cultural ticket sales are being made by individuals over the age of 65.

Due to the high demand, the digital platform Giglon experienced waiting lists within 30 minutes of the sale beginning. Sold-out productions include ‘La verdad’, ‘La opera de los tres centavos’, ‘La pasión infinita’, ‘Esencia’, ‘Panorama desde el puente’, ‘Malquerida’, and ‘Pijama para seis’.
