Legefelder Community Turns Discarded Bathtubs into Colorful Garden Planters

The Legefelder local association, together with the care centre and kindergarten, launched a project called “Füreinander‑Miteinander”. Association leader Petra Seidel saved a number of bathtubs discarded during hotel renovations. Children painted the tubs with help from seniors, and the finished pieces were placed as decorative plant containers in the care‑centre garden and shown at the recent summer festival.

From 29 July to 6 August, the municipal Mon‑Ami cinema hosts a music‑film series as part of the 66th Weimar Master Classes. The programme includes documentaries and feature films on Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Strauss, with tickets costing €7 (€5 reduced). Screenings feature “Chronik der Anna Magdalena Bach”, “Living Bach”, “Johann Strauss – Der ungekrönte König”, “Die siebente Saite” and “Vivaldi und ich”.
