Legend of the Seas begins Mediterranean cruises

Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship and the third vessel in the Icon Class series, has begun its Mediterranean service. The ship is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).

During a recent voyage, the vessel carried approximately 9,700 people, including roughly 7,200 guests and 2,500 crew members. The itinerary included stops such as Málaga, Spain, and Civitavecchia, Italy. While the scale of the ship presents logistical challenges, such as high demand for sun loungers and queues for water slides, passengers reported efficient embarkation processes in ports like Barcelona.

Premium accommodations on the ship include suite categories with dedicated butler services to assist with reservations and dining. The vessel is designed to accommodate large families and utilizes high-speed internet to maintain connectivity for passengers.
