Siarka Tarnobrzeg upsets Lech Poznań in Polish Cup

Third-division side Siarka Tarnobrzeg caused a major upset in the Polish Cup by defeating reigning champions Lech Poznań 1-0. The decisive goal was scored by Arkadiusz Kasia in the 64th minute following a corner kick from Bruno Wacławek.

Lech Poznań faced significant challenges during the match, including playing with ten men for much of the second half after Yannick Agnero received a second yellow card in stoppage time of the first half. Despite maintaining possession, the visitors were unable to break through Siarka's defense, which was bolstered by strong performances from 17-year-old goalkeeper Tomasz Pytlak.

The defeat marks a significant exit for Lech Poznań, who entered the tournament as defending champions. Siarka Tarnobrzeg advances to the round of 16, following a previous surprising victory over Zagłębie Lubin.
