Legia Warszawa and Korona Kielce conclude summer transfer windows

Polish football clubs Legia Warszawa and Korona Kielce have concluded significant summer transfer windows with contrasting financial strategies.

Legia Warszawa focused on financial restructuring, reducing its first-team wage bill by 26 percent. According to Sporting Director Fredi Bobić, the club spent only 780,000 euros on incoming transfers. The squad saw eight new additions, including Ivan Brkić, Łukasz Zjawiński, Robert Deziel Junior, and Zoran Arsenić, many of whom arrived without transfer fees. Additionally, the club utilized loans for players such as Michal Sevcik and Jan Kuchta. Coach Marek Papszun described the period as a ‘Cinderella window’.

In contrast, Korona Kielce adopted a more aggressive spending approach, investing over five million euros in eight new players. Coach Jacek Zieliński expressed high expectations for the revamped squad, which includes Patrik Hellebrand, Ariel Mosór, Michael Ameyaw, Kamil Jakubczyk, Norbert Barczak, and Ondřej Lingr. The club also secured Camilo Mena on loan from Lechia Gdańsk.
