Legia Warszawa Honors Late Coach Jacek Magiera with Locker‑Room Tribute

Following the death of former player and coach Jacek Magiera on 10 April 2024, Legia Warszawa commemorated him by installing a plaque with his well‑known 2016 Champions League quote in both Polish and English inside the team’s locker room at the Łazienkowska stadium. The club also organised a minute of silence and a fan‑created display of letters forming “J M” before the match against Górnik Zabrze on 11 April.

Legia posted the tribute on its X account, praising Magiera’s contributions as a player, assistant to Jan Urban and head coach who won the 2016/17 Ekstraklasa title. The plaque reads: “Nauczmy się robić rzeczy małe, a będziemy robić wielkie!” (“Let’s learn to do small things, and we will do great things!”). The gesture aims to keep his memory alive among supporters and the club’s staff.
