Legia Warszawa owner Dariusz Mioduski to sell minority stake

Dariusz Mioduski is nearing the final stages of selling a minority stake in the Polish football club Legia Warszawa. According to journalist Sebastian Staszewski, the process is at its absolute finish, with an announcement regarding the new co-owner expected imminently.

The deal involves the sale of approximately 40 percent of the club's shares to an investor from the United States. Unlike a traditional investment fund, this American investor is expected to provide a significant capital injection directly into the club's budget to ensure financial stability and help repay existing debts. The funds are intended for the club's treasury rather than being immediately allocated for new player transfers.

Mioduski will remain the majority shareholder. The transaction is not expected to trigger a management overhaul; current leadership, including President Marcin Herra, Sporting Director Fredi Bobić, and Coach Marek Papszun, is expected to remain in their positions.
