Legion of Christ announces strategic roadmap for 2026-2032

Father Carlos Gutiérrez, L.C., Director General of the Legion of Christ, has presented the programmatic horizon titled ‘Cor ardens in Christo: Fraternity, Mission, and Vocation.’ This document outlines the congregation's strategic path for the 2026-2032 six-year period.

The roadmap is built upon three strategic priorities and nine specific objectives and initiatives. Inspired by the biblical account of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, the plan aims to make the Legion ‘more Paschal: more centered on Christ, more fraternal, more ecclesial, and more available for mission.’

The document acknowledges past periods of ‘disconcertment and bitterness,’ emphasizing that a Paschal Legion finds meaning in the cross through humility and forgiveness while drawing strength from the resurrection. Key focus areas include placing Christ at the center of community life, safeguarding the charism with creative fidelity, and providing special attention to the formation of superiors to promote evangelical leadership based on co-responsibility.
