Legislative bodies in Dominican Republic and Mexico advance financial reforms

In the Dominican Republic, the Chamber of Deputies has approved a legislative initiative to facilitate the installation of a Banreservas branch in the Arroyo Barril municipal district of Samaná province. Proposed by Deputy Carmen Lidia Williams Benjamín, the measure aims to improve financial access for local residents, merchants, and entrepreneurs, reducing the need for travel to other locations for banking operations.

In Mexico, the Senate has received a proposal from the Chamber of Deputies to reform the Federal Rights Law. The initiative seeks to update various state service fees, including consular services and fees for visitors performing remunerated activities. Additionally, the reform aims to strengthen the supervision mechanisms of the National Banking and Securities Commission to support the stability and development of the Mexican financial system.
