Legislative changes in Espírito Santo and Olímpia

The Legislative Assembly of Espírito Santo will welcome three new deputies in 2027 who have never held elective office. Rodrigo da Cozivip and Jeesala Coutinho (MDB), along with Delegado Leandro Sperandio (Podemos), are set to take office. Sperandio, who received the highest number of votes among the newcomers, intends to focus his platform on public security, education, and agriculture.

In Olímpia, the Municipal Chamber has undergone reorganization following the ‘Operação Caixa Frio’ investigation. The chamber formalized the dismissal of four commissioned employees and appointed two new staff members. This restructuring follows the temporary arrest of councilman Flávio Augusto Olmos (PP), who has submitted his resignation from the presidency and requested a 120-day leave of absence. The investigation involves allegations of illegal monthly fee collections.
