Legislative proceedings in Marília and Brasília

In Marília, the City Council is scheduled to vote on several key items, including a request to open a disciplinary commission (Comissão Processante) against Councilman Agente Federal Junior Féfin. The request, filed by municipal committees addressing violence against women, alleges a breach of parliamentary decorum. Additionally, the council will vote on a bill to create permanent positions for specialist doctors and dentists through public examinations to strengthen municipal outpatient care, as well as a land swap proposal for the Residencial Reserva Esmeralda neighborhood.

In Brasília, a proposed amendment to the Organic Law (PELO nº 22/2026) has been filed in the Legislative Chamber. The amendment seeks to modify rules regarding the reelection of members of the Board of Directors. It proposes that the prohibition on reelection applies only to the same position within the same legislature, potentially allowing members to be reelected if they transition between two different legislatures. This move could benefit current leadership, including President Wellington Luiz, and may gain support from opposition members.
