Legislators in Argentina and Mexico address trafficking and youth rights

In Argentina, Libertarian Deputy María Elena Davids has proposed a bill to increase the visibility of Line 145, a dedicated channel for reporting human trafficking and receiving assistance. Davids warned that the province of Salta serves as both a transit point and an exporter of trafficking victims. She highlighted that exploitation has evolved beyond sexual exploitation to include labor and digital trafficking, noting that minors are increasingly at risk through digital platforms, video games, and gambling sites.

In Mexico, legislator Lorenia Valles Sampedro addressed an assembly in Hermosillo, Sonora, regarding the role of youth in social transformation. Valles emphasized the importance of the 2019 constitutional reform that formally recognized young people as holders of full rights. She criticized previous administrations for criminalizing youth and argued that current policies focus on humanistic and equal governance to integrate younger generations into the social fabric.
