Legnano council raises concerns over Fondazione Aurea management

Opposition members of the Legnano city council, specifically from the Lega and Lista Toia Sindaco parties, have raised questions regarding the management of Fondazione Aurea Ets and its partner, Azienda So. Le.

The controversy emerged during the approval of the annual budget for Azienda So. Le., a consortium managing social, welfare, and educational services for 10 municipalities in the Legnano area. While the budget was approved by the majority, opposition councilors pointed to significant accounting discrepancies and operational anomalies.

Councilor Daniela Laffusa highlighted inconsistencies between the financial statements published on Fondazione Aurea’s website and those reported to the National Single Register of the Third Sector (Runts). Specifically, one report indicated a loss of 1,200 euros, while another showed a profit of 13,000 euros. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding the management of public funds intended for legal protection services for vulnerable individuals, a service performed by Fondazione Aurea that does not appear in its official constitutive acts or Runts reports.
