Legnano hosts musical competition and Battle of Legnano anniversary events

The city of Legnano is hosting several cultural initiatives, including the third edition of the “Città di Legnano” International Musical Competition. Organized by the Associazione Ensemble Amadeus and local partners, the competition offers two main categories: the “Franco Sioli” Debutants Prize for opera and concert roles, and the “Talento Emergente” Young Talent Prize for musicians aged 14 to 39. Registration for the competition remains open until October 12, 2026.

Additionally, the Fondazione Palio di Legnano has announced a series of events to conclude the 850th anniversary of the Battle of Legnano. The program includes a “History Lab” exhibition of historical documents at Palazzo Leone da Perego from October 17 to November 1, and a keynote lecture by historian Alessandro Barbero. The celebrations will also feature the publication of a commemorative book detailing the history and traditions of the battle.
