Legnano Red Cross hosts CRI Summer Fest and Run for Parkinson’s

The Italian Red Cross (Croce Rossa Italiana) Legnano Committee hosted the CRI Summer Fest, a multi-day event focused on community, solidarity, and prevention. Held at the organization’s headquarters in via Ragazzi del ’99, the festival featured street food, a silent disco, and social inclusion initiatives such as the PizzAut truck.

A key highlight of the event was the 17th edition of the Run for Parkinson’s, organized by the Associazione Parkinson Insubira (ASPI). Approximately 800 participants took part in the non-competitive 5 and 10-kilometer run and walk. ASPI President Rosanna Carnovali noted the strong partnership between the association and the Red Cross.

Educational activities included ‘Soccorsopoli,’ a program designed to teach first aid techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway obstruction management to both adults and children. The event also featured ‘Bimbi in ambulanza’ to introduce children to emergency vehicles and road safety.
