Legnica senior home owner arrested for ordering vehicle arsons

Police in Legnica have arrested four individuals in connection with a series of arsons that caused over 300,000 PLN in damages. The incidents, which occurred on June 30, involved the burning of vehicles and damage to a residential building facade.

Investigators determined that the arsons were an act of retaliation against the legal actions taken by the district building supervision inspectorate. Prosecutors allege that Marek Ś., a 53-year-old owner of a local senior home, orchestrated the attacks. He reportedly used his acquaintance, Karolina A., to recruit Dawid A. to carry out the crimes.

Dawid A. received a total of 2,500 PLN for the acts, part of which was shared with Marcin O. Following the investigation, Marek Ś. was arrested for three months on charges of incitement to destroy property. Dawid A. was arrested for two months, and both have faced charges related to the destruction of property. Karolina A. has admitted to her role in the incitement.
