LEGO partners with artist Futura for Ninjago anniversary

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Ninjago franchise, LEGO has announced a creative partnership with New York-based street artist Futura. The artist, born Leonard Hilton McGurr, has been named an official creative collaborator and artistic co-creator for the brand.

The collaboration features unique artwork that reinterprets iconic Ninjago minifigures through Futura’s distinct visual style, which often incorporates fluid aerosol gestures and characters like Pointman. Revealed pieces include a ‘Ninja of the Futura’ alongside reinterpretations of the characters Nya and Kai.

Beyond commemorative art, the partnership aims to explore new creative directions for the Ninjago Legends universe, potentially influencing future characters, storylines, and merchandise.
