LEGO releases PlayStation console replica building set

LEGO has released a new 1,911-piece building set, the LEGO PlayStation (72306), designed for adults. The set recreates the iconic original PlayStation console and its first controller, featuring functional power and open buttons. The kit also includes dioramas inspired by the classic games Gran Turismo and Ape Escape.

To address the absence of a memory card in the official set, creators from the site Stone Wars have developed a ‘My Own Creation’ (MOC) guide. Using approximately 37 grey bricks available through the LEGO Pick a Brick program, enthusiasts can build a replica memory card that matches the scale of the original. The custom build includes components to allow the card to fit into the set’s designated slot, though it requires replacing a specific 1x6 tile within the official model.
