LEGO releases retro PlayStation console set with game dioramas

LEGO has released a new 1,911-piece retro PlayStation set designed to recreate the original 1990s console in near life-size proportions. Priced at $179.99, the model includes a brick-built version of the original controller and functional buttons for the power and disc tray.

Inside the console, the set features miniature dioramas inspired by two classic titles: the racing game Gran Turismo and the adventure game Ape Escape. These dioramas are intended to celebrate the early years of the PlayStation system.

To celebrate the release, PlayStation UK is hosting an immersive event titled ‘LEGO | PlayStation Built to Play’ at Westfield London from October 23rd to 25th. The free event allows visitors to explore themed environments based on the featured games and build custom LEGO minifigures.
