LEGO to release 40889 Build, Paint & Play! as free gift
LEGO will offer the 40889 Build, Paint & Play! set as a free gift with purchase starting October 28, 2026. To qualify for the 158-piece set, customers must spend at least $130, £115, €130, AU$210, CAD$170, or SGD$190 on LEGO.com or at local LEGO stores while supplies last.
The set was the winning entry from the Build Your Hobby challenge, designed by fan creator Doomslizer. It serves as a tribute to the hobby of building and painting miniature model kits, featuring a brick-built cutting mat, sprue, glue, brushes, and squeezable paint tubes.
Included in the set is a teal Classic Space astronaut minifigure. The kit also features new color-accurate components for Classic Space enthusiasts, such as Light Bluish Gray helmets and air tanks.
