Lehigh defeats Penn 20-7 in college football matchup
Lehigh University defeated the University of Pennsylvania 20-7 on Saturday at Franklin Field, marking the Mountain Hawks' fifth consecutive win against an Ivy League opponent. Ranked No. 6 in the Stats Perform poll, Lehigh (5-0) utilized a strong defensive performance and key plays from quarterback Derek Morgan to secure the victory.
Morgan contributed both on the ground and through the air, scoring an 11-yard rushing touchdown to extend Lehigh's lead to 10-0 in the third quarter and connecting with Jamaire Harden for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Connor Poole added two field goals, from 48 and 29 yards, to help seal the win.
Lehigh's defense limited Penn (1-1) to 182 total yards of offense. While Penn managed a late fourth-quarter touchdown run by Tommy Lafayette, the Mountain Hawks' defense remained effective, recording three sacks and six tackles for loss throughout the game.
