Lehigh Volleyball sweeps opening matches at Steel Classic

Lehigh University opened its 2026 volleyball season with two dominant 3-0 sweeps during the first day of the Steel Classic in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Mountain Hawks defeated Gardner-Webb in the morning session before securing a second straight sweep against Cleveland State in the evening.

Cleveland State split its opening day matches, securing a 3-0 victory over Morgan State before falling to Lehigh. The Vikings' win against Morgan State was led by Bryn VanVleet and Addison Koppelman, who each recorded 12 kills. Cleveland State is scheduled to continue play at the Lehigh Invitational against Gardner-Webb.
