Leica launches Q3 43 Formula 1 Edition camera

Leica has introduced the Q3 43 Formula 1 Edition, a limited camera model resulting from a licensing agreement between the German manufacturer and Formula 1. The edition is based on the Leica Q3 43, which features an APO-Summicron 43mm f/2 ASPH lens.

The design incorporates materials inspired by racing car steering wheels, including hand-finished carbon fiber from Germany used for the grip, thumb rest, and soft-release shutter button. The body is covered in black microvelour to provide a high-grip tactile experience, complemented by red accents on key controls and the F1 logo engraved on the top plate and lens cap.

Priced at €8,650, the edition is positioned as a collector's item aimed at both photography enthusiasts and motorsport memorabilia collectors. The product includes specialized packaging with a red interior and coordinated accessories designed to maintain high resale value in the secondary market.
