Leica releases Cine Compact 1 portable projector

Leica has released the Cine Compact 1, a portable room-to-room projector priced at $1,995. The device features a cube-shaped design with a single-axis gimbal mount for pitch adjustment and is built around a DLP chip.

Using Texas Instruments' XPR fast-switch pixel shifting, the projector delivers a 4K resolution by combining native 1,080p pixels. It utilizes a tri-color laser light source with an estimated lifespan of 25,000 hours. While its 1,700 ANSI lumens brightness is lower than competitors like the Hisense C2 Ultra, the Cine Compact 1 offers a more compact and lightweight form factor, weighing 9.7 pounds. It includes a foam carrying case for portability.
