Leicester City blocked Caleb Okoli's return to Italy

Caleb Okoli remained at Leicester City during the recent summer transfer window despite a desire to return to Italy. His agent, Alessandro Barison, clarified that while the defender sought to play in Serie A again, negotiations failed due to the financial demands of the English club.

According to Barison, Leicester City insisted on a significant permanent transfer fee. Although several clubs from Italy, Spain, and Germany expressed interest, they primarily proposed loan deals. The Leicester management rejected these temporary solutions, preferring either a permanent sale to generate revenue or retaining the player for their Championship campaign. Despite the missed opportunity to move, Barison noted that Okoli has maintained professionalism and remains fully committed to the team.
