Leicester City defeats Bristol Rovers 2-1 in pre‑season friendly

Leicester City beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 in a four‑period pre‑season friendly at the Memorial Stadium. Leicester opened the scoring after four minutes when 19‑year‑old Kirsten Otchere hit a right‑footed effort that deflected over Brad Young. Bristol Rovers equalised in the 36th minute through Ellis Harrison, who finished after a scramble in the box. After a series of substitutions, Nathan Opoku restored Leicester's lead in the 79th minute with a close‑range header following a cross from Sammy Braybrooke.

Both sides rotated heavily, making 11 changes at the 60‑minute break and again before the third period. The match, played in four 30‑minute quarters, served as preparation for Leicester’s upcoming fixtures against Burton Albion and a training camp in Spain, while Bristol Rovers look ahead to games against Portsmouth, Forest Green Rovers and Yate Town.
