Leicester City Nears Completion of Wes Burns Transfer

Wes Burns, a 31‑year‑old Wales international, is expected to undergo a medical ahead of a move from Ipswich Town to Leicester City this summer, according to multiple reports. Burns joined Ipswich from Fleetwood Town in 2021, helped the club achieve three promotions and played a key role in its rise to the Premier League. After an ACL injury in early 2025, he returned later that year and made Premier League appearances before the transfer.

Leicester City, recently relegated to League One, have already secured former teammate Conor Chaplin and are looking to strengthen the right‑wing position. The club also has interest in Bosnian forward Admir Bristic. Signing Burns is part of Leicester’s plan to rebuild the squad and push for promotion back to the Championship.
